Russian human rights commissioner reports drop in complaints against bailiffs

14:45 14/03/2019

MOSCOW, March 14 (RAPSI) – The number of applications concerning court bailiffs’ actions submitted to the Office of Russia’s High Commissioner for Human Rights has decreased by 30% as compared to a preceding year, ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova has said during the Federal Bailiff Service’s session.

The drop in the number of complaints against bailiffs is a key indicator of their work and cooperation with the ombudsman’s office, Moskalkova has stated.

The analysis of the complaints received by the federal ombudsman has shown that applicants are concerned about such problems as seizure of wage or pension accounts, alimony proceeds, application of compulsory measures against debtors’ namesakes, implementing document losses, indebtedness collection inactions of bailiffs, according to the ombudsman.
