Moscow court extends bankruptcy proceedings against ex-lawmaker Mitrofanov

MOSCOW, December 19 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court has extended by six months a bankruptcy procedure against former lawmaker of the State Duma Alexey Mitrofanov, currently hiding in Croatia on fraud charges, RAPSI correspondent has learnt in the court.

The court asked Viktor Yeltsov, a financial manager of the debtor, to provide a complete report on actions with Mitrofanov’s property, including copies of sale documents and repayment of credits.

Mitrofanov was declared bankrupt in December 2017 on the request of BMW Bank, a subsidiary of the German BMW auto concern.

According to authorities, Mitrofanov has to pay loans totaling 18.1 million rubles ($269,700) under several Moscow courts’ decisions.

In June 2014, the State Duma revoked Mitrofanov’s parliamentary immunity due to fraud charges.
